The White Building (1927)

The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania retained Joseph B. Callaghan, Inc. to perform a facade investigation, develop repair documents, and oversee construction in the White Building (1927). The distress found during the facade survey included damaged limestone mullions, quoins, and balustrades, as well as general maintenance items. The repair program included replacing corroded steel pins with new stainless steel pins. A severely damaged limestone band was patched and carved to match the original profile.
