This is to recognize your outstanding efforts in preparation of seven (7) seismic hazard evaluation reports at various Federal Buildings in the Mid-Atlantic Region. These reports have helped the Mid-Atlantic Region meet its goals in ensuring that its buildings are safe from seismic hazards. The reports were completed in a professional and timely manner using state of the art evaluation criteria. Your recommended solutions for seismic retrofit were both creative and cost effective. Also, I commend your performance in identifying potentially life-threatening, structural hazards at our federal buildings in Portsmouth and Richmond, Virginia. The deterioration of the exterior columns at the Portsmouth Federal Building would have gone unnoticed without your firm’s diligent field investigation. Also, several unsafe façade elements on the Richmond Federal Building were properly identified by your firm to require our immediate attention. Your efforts are greatly appreciated."

I want to take this opportunity to thank Joseph B. Callaghan Engineers for their excellent professional services provided to me.   After experiencing a very serious snow storm in January of 2016, I discovered my 36,000 square foot indoor tennis club had broken loose from its’ concrete foundation. I was overwhelmed with a variety of major concerns, specifically the stability of my building, safety issues, and how could this possibly be fixed. I hired JBC Inc. and Allen Roth took the lead role on my project. I immediately recognized the professional experience and knowledge that Mr. Roth portrayed. After the initial meeting, I became educated on the scope of the damage, and I was assured of the stability of the building and my safety concerns.  Mr. Roth recognized that time was of the essence, and within a short period of time had an initial design fix conceptual plan. I found his demeanor to be confident yet very cooperative while engaging with me, our insurance company, and general contractor. I’m confident the final design fix has not only repaired my building, but has made it better than when it was initially built. Thanks to the work of JBC Engineering firm, I can rest assured the strength and integrity of my building going forward.  I highly recommend their services!  Thank you.
